Mike Gilroy

CEO

Mike has over 20 years of experience growing specialty finance businesses by working closely with channel partners.

Mike’s involvement with solar began as an investor and board observer for Sungage in 2015. Prior to that, Mike was the CEO of Springstone Financial, a health care financing business he co-founded that was acquired by LendingClub. Springstone partnered with over 20,000 medical and dental practices to provide affordable payment options up to $50,000. Prior to Springstone, Mike led the scale up of AmeriFee, a patient financing business that was acquired by Capital One. Earlier in his career, he held sales, marketing, and business development positions at Corning Inc. and Dentsply International. Mike holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Notre Dame.

Michael Giles

CTO & CPO

Mike is a serial entrepreneur who has focused on conceptualizing, creating and delivering successful software products for the past 20 years.

Those products have ranged from enterprise content management, business process automation, and cloud-based, mobile communications to consumer social bookmarking and travel meta search. In addition to founding several companies, including Otalo and Furl (sold to LookSmart), Mike has advised startups, helped grow Vitria from an early startup to a multibillion-dollar public company, and raised four children. Mike holds a bachelor's degree in physics from Oberlin College.

Jim Donovan

Chief Credit and Risk Officer

Jim Donovan is a fintech entrepreneur with extensive experience in managing operations, risk, and working with bank partners.

Jim was a co-founder of Springstone Financial, Premier Payment Solutions, and AmeriFee and held credit positions at Capital One and LendingClub. He has had a successful career working in operations and finance for the past 25 years. Jim holds a master’s degree from Boston College.

John King

CFO

John has an extensive background in the residential solar industry and more than 25 years experience in capital markets, corporate development, treasury and strategy.

Having held several senior positions within the solar and fintech spaces, John utilizes this experience and his strong business acumen to drive Sungage’s mission forward and create lasting value for our installer partners and homeowners, while supporting the global clean energy transition. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Managerial Studies from Rice University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Sarah Tricot

Chief Legal Officer/General Counsel

Sarah oversees all aspects of legal and corporate governance matters. She is critical in protecting Sungage, its investors, employees and partners.

For the last fourteen years Sarah has been in private practice as a commercial transactional attorney with a focus on corporate law, financing transactions, M&A and commercial real estate. She has vast experience in a wide variety of sectors and most notably has served as Sungage’s outside general counsel for the past six years. Sarah has a proven track record of advising clients in an efficient and effective manner. Sarah earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Richmond and her juris doctorate, cum laude, from New England Law Boston.

Lis Dockter

Director of Product

Lis is data-, impact-, and customer-obsessed, which served her well over the last dozen years managing and leading product teams.

She worked at many innovative companies, including Constant Contact, Virgin Pulse, and Wayfair, shaping the skills and perspectives she brings to Sungage. Lis earned her bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College and holds an MBA in finance and entrepreneurship from Babson’s FW Olin Graduate School of Business.

Frank Eldredge

Head of Corporate Finance

Frank is a seasoned finance professional with over 13 years of experience in Corporate Finance across the traditional and new energy sectors.

Frank brings a wealth of knowledge of solar finance strategies across warehouse lending, tax equity, and securitization. He began his career in corporate and investment banking at Citigroup, covering oil and gas clients in Houston, TX. In 2017, he transitioned to the new energy sector by starting at Sunnova, a residential solar company based in Houston. Frank joined Sungage in 2024 where he focuses on deriving financial insights to support Sungage’s mission of a clean energy future. Frank holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin with a major in Finance through the Business Honors Program.

Peter Geraigiry

Director of Financial Operations

Peter has over 15 years of finance experience in senior managerial roles across major banks and buy-side institutions.

He spent most of his career at Barclays managing operations for various trading businesses, focusing on foreign exchange and interest rate derivatives. Most recently, he was Vice President of Capital Markets at Brookfield Asset Management, centrally leading operations for their global hedging program. Peter grew up in New York and received his bachelor’s degree in economics from New York University. He continues to live in the area with his wife, two daughters, and their dog Jojo, and he enjoys beach outings, hiking, and camping trips with his family.

Chris Hervieux

Director of Customer Success

Chris is a client relationship and service management professional with significant experience and dedication to driving customer satisfaction and loyalty.

He has led teams in financial services, affiliate marketing programs, business advisory risk management, and employer benefits solutions for companies such as Gradifi Solutions (E*TRADE Financial, a subsidiary of Morgan Stanley) and Enquiron (now part of Zywave). Working in both small and large companies, both publicly and privately held, he operates with a laser focus on relationship building, service quality, and operational efficiency. Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Johnson & Wales University.

Cam Kackley

Director of Capital Markets

Cam leads Sungage’s efforts to create and nurture our relationships with our banking partners, resulting in improved cash flow and financial stability.

Cam has spent a decade at Sungage Financial serving in a variety of roles giving him a well-rounded understanding of the industry, our products and growth areas. Starting out as a member of the Solar Finance Specialist team, he quickly worked his way up to a supervisory role and later into project management where he was responsible for financial product development. In his current role, he leads efforts to identify and onboard new sources of capital for Sungage loans.

Megan Lucier

Director of Marketing

Megan brings 25-plus years of brand management and strategic marketing experience to the team.

Megan’s career started in advertising but she honed her marketing skills in corporate marketing, including Staples, TJX, Timberland, and LendingClub. She is happiest when directing and motivating teams that deliver winning marketing campaigns. She is a graduate of Colgate University and has served on her local Conservation Commission for years.

Craig Massey

Director of Business Intelligence

Craig Massey is a data expert that has facilitated data-driven solutions in sustainable energy for the last decade.

With a strong background in data analytics and strategic planning, Craig has successfully led teams in implementing cutting-edge business intelligence solutions that have driven operational efficiency, optimized customer acquisition, and enhanced overall performance. His deep understanding of the solar market and ability to leverage data-driven insights have enabled Sungage to make informed decisions, identify growth opportunities, and propel the company’s success in the renewable energy sector. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Elon University and is earning a master of science in analytics from Georgia Tech.

Doug Pierce

Head of Channel Sales

Doug brings 15 years of experience in renewable energy along with a strong focus on building partner relationships and developing new markets.

Doug’s time managing one of Sungage’s channel partners gave him a firsthand look at our user experience. He joined the Sungage team in 2018 as Regional Sales Manager and has had many roles in his tenure. Doug is currently leading the Revenue team, which consists of our Account Managers and Partner Success Manager. Together with his team, he consistently delivers customer success through exceptional service. Doug earned his bachelor's degree at the University of Connecticut School of Business.

Adria Raphael

Director of Risk Operations

With almost a decade of experience in the solar finance industry, Adria has established many of the policies and procedures that balance our streamlined loan process and protect our company from fraud and risk.

Before coming to Sungage, Adria worked within operations at several nonprofit organizations focused on structuring programs to meet federal regulations. Her focus across these positions has been on introducing new tools, improving procedures, and setting new policies with a mindset of efficiency and sensibility. Adria has a master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

Sara Ross

Co-Founder

Sara founded Sungage Financial following her own experience purchasing solar.

After acting as the general contractor for an award-winning deep energy retrofit of her own home, Sara started a business to help solar contractors meet the needs of residential consumers. She has been a vocal proponent of renewable energy with speaking engagements throughout the country and is a member of the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association, Solar Connecticut, and the Renewable Energy and Efficiency Business Association. Sara has worked previously for the City of New York, the University of Pennsylvania, Harvard University, USAID, and Abt Associates performing policy and economic analysis. She holds an MPA/ID from the Harvard Kennedy School. In her current role as a board member, Sara continues to be a voice guiding Sungage’s direction and contribution to the clean energy transition while also connecting us to our roots.

David Smith

Head of Compliance

David is a consumer finance attorney with deep experience in regulatory compliance matters.

David, board certified in Consumer and Commercial Law (Texas), worked for many years at Tier 1 law firms handling a variety of consumer finance issues, ranging from litigation to nation-wide compliance projects. He previously spent two years as head of compliance at a well-known solar finance company. David holds an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and graduated from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.

Matt Thomsen

Head of Strategic Partnerships

Matt came to Sungage from Accenture where he spent many years growing and building sales teams to deliver industry-leading management and technology consulting products.

He has a long track record of initiating strategic partnerships with SMB and Fortune 500 companies and specializes in developing successful B2B relationships. He developed his passion for the solar industry while working with SolBid, a solar engineering and procurement software company. Matt is a graduate of Keene State College.

Meaghen Walsh

Head of People Operations

Meaghen cares for the company’s most precious asset: our people. Directing the recruiting, hiring, development, and training of our team, Meaghen’s focus is always on forward momentum.

A human resources and recruitment professional, Meaghen came to Sungage from DataRobot, a leading end-to-end enterprise AI platform, where she developed a workforce of talented data scientists, engineers, and thought leaders. Meaghen also has a passion and talent for creating healthy and delicious gluten-free food and co-founded Me & Mo, a subscription food delivery service in San Francisco. Meaghen earned her bachelor's degree from University of Miami.
